Senior Windows System Administrator
I've been retained by a client company to introduce a top quality Sr. Windows
System Administrator to their organization. This company is interested in
building the next generation of MMO titles. Unlike other game companies, this
organization is not interested in working people 24-7 at alpha, beta and final.
The focus is on hiring top talent, keeping turnover down, providing a quality
work environment and building the most exciting MMO game that anyone has ever
experienced. In this key role, the successful candidate will be:
Key Requirements:
* Providing senior level hardware and software support for Windows 2003/2008
Servers.
* Building a system to rapidly support their customer base.
* Providing performance monitoring to optimize scaling needs.
* A part of an on-call rotation.
* Making a difference and understanding the importance of documentation of
processes.
* Working in an ever-changing environment and thrive in it.
Key Qualifications:
* Solid Windows Server 2003 and Exchange Server 2003 experience.
* Knows how to design, plan, support, troubleshoot and automate tasks in
Active Directory and Windows Server environments.
* Knowledge in the installation and configuration, performance tuning, system
security, and capacity planning, and scaling
* Understanding of Visio and Service Level Agreements a huge plus.
* Knows how to implement and maintain a reliable backup and data retention
strategy for all assets.
* Enjoys keeping up-to-date of best practices in system design,
administration, and security configuration
* Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, NTFS Permissions and the
administration of DNS and DHCP.
* Knows how to automate routine tasks with scripting or automation tools to
streamline maintenance tasks.
* Server and Networking technologies and protocols.
