Description

This group is for the support of the new Gemini .NET ASCOM Driver for Version 6.0 of the ASCOM Initiative.

A new Beta version is available for the Gemini 2 units in the files section. It also works for Gemini-1 units.

The newest official release (non-beta) is available at
http://ascom-standards.org/Downloads/ScopeDrivers.htm web site.
It's name is Gemini Telescope .NET(1.0.8.0)

The Latest ASCOM platform 6.0 will need to be installed first

Also the Microsoft 3.5 .Net Framework has to be installed. Win 7 has it installed, but might have to be activated.

A lot of effort has gone into developing this driver, and the writers of this driver will very much appreciate your kind words, and suggestions. Pleases follow this error report procedure in Error Reporting Procedure Document, in case you do fine anything that was missed.

This Driver is a HUB, but Dome control is not supported. The New ASCOM 6 is now also a HUB and you can use it with your Dome driver.

The Manual is is the Files Section, and will also be installed along with the driver.

Some Features:

Virtual Hand control
Gemini Telescope and Advanced Gemini Setting menu
Joy Stick Support
Sound Support
Virtual Pass-Through ports-Supports Non-ASCOM Programs
Object Catalog manager
Save and Restore of Modeling
and much more!

Hi Greg, UDP is a much faster and higher quality protocol for Gemini. If at all possible, I recommend using it over all others. The limitation is that UDP is

Connecting through the TCP/IP
With the ASCOM Gemini NET driver there seems to be the possibility to connect either by using a UDP port or through http. What is the difference between these

Re: TheSky6 + PHD need to work together
Hi Peter, Generally, all ASCOM software should connect to the same instance of Gemini.NET. This is how it's implemented, and certainly works like this in most
