The purpose of this mail list and associated web is to support a group of genealogists from Fairfax County, VA and surrounding area area who meet periodically to discuss various topics relating to Surname Projects and Genetic Genealogy. This group operates as a Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Fairfax Genealogical Society (FxGS). This mail list specifically supports the coordination of meeting dates, times, and places and announces topics for those meetings. It also provides a means for the distribution of data made available at these meetings and facilitates discussions outside meeting times.
