Job Overview: A rapidly developing Geophysical Products and
Services Company providing software, tools and services to help oil
and gas exploration professionals interpret subsurface data
quantitatively and assess exploration and production risks and
opportunities, is looking for an experienced and energetic Senior
Seismic Interpreter / Asset Geophysicist to further strengthen their
quantitative interpretation team.

Quantifying uncertainty and reducing risk is a key process in today's
oil and gas industry. With niche solutions that address this
challenge, the Company has recently won a $10million contract with a
successful North Sea Operator to provide rock physics directed
prospect evaluation, geomodelling and reservoir characterisation for
the oil company's exploration, appraisal and development drilling
programme. The oil company has been the most active driller and
explorer in the North Sea for the past 2 years and is set to remain
so for several years more.

Working directly with the Oil Company client within a dedicated team
of geophysicists, geoscientists, petrophysicists and specialists in
rock physics, seismic modeling and inversion, reservoir model
building, well planning and operations, you will explore, appraise
and optimize production from the Oil Company's majority owned assets.
You will use the Company's innovative range of Quantitative
Interpretation software products as well as other standard industry
tools.

Some travel will be required, mainly to Calgary and Aberdeen, but the
job will be firmly based in SW London.

Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Chief Geophysicist,
the successful candidate will be expected to:
· Interpretation - Explore, appraise and optimize production
from in and around a cluster of majority owned assets around the
Outer Moray Firth and Central North Sea.
· Creativity - With access to leading edge technologies and
tools, apply new methods and be able to use your creativity in
prospect generation and well targeting to best advantage including
developing, planning and executing time lapse projects.
· Recommend - Assess, quantify and communicate risks to team
members and management along with professional conclusions based on
the interpretations.
· Add further strength to the Company's Geophysical Consultancy
and Services team, from broad experience of a range of geophysical
techniques such as rock physics, reservoir characterisation, 4D
Seismic, AVO, Inversion, etc., particularly in the area of prospect
evaluation.
· Work with the oil client to understand all the geophysical
constraints and issues pertaining to the data and technical
objectives.
· Develop knowledge of Rock Physics and further strengthen the
Company's integration of Rock Physics with other geophysical
techniques. This integration delivers powerful predictive models to
meet current exploration and production challenges, and is crucial to
the Company's continued success.

This is an ideal role for an experienced, innovative and ambitious
geophysicist who wishes to be actively contributing to an already
successful exploration and development drilling campaign. If you like
getting your exploration prospects, infill locations and economic
upside targets drilled then this is a job for you!

Preferences: The successful candidate will have:
· An MSc or PhD in Geology or Earth Science related degree
essential.
· Minimum of 10 years experience as senior geophysicist,
particularly in the area of Prospect Evaluation essential.
