Edit: Cancer. It was a skin cancer along his left
ear. It managed to get down into the ear canal. The
surgeons managed to get the cancer OUT. The stay in
ICU after the surgery was short, because he was lucid.
He was perfectly fine.
Trouble started when he got to a regular room. The
after affects of the anesthesia have never been good
for him, and it was worse this time.
He said he was choking when the end was coming to him.
A Code Blue was called, and the doctors and nurses
rushed in, but we believe it was his heart that did
him in. His previous two heart surgeries to put the
pair of stints in his arteries weren't ready for the
blood transfusion of a much thicker blood than what he
normally had (he took two baby aspirin every day for
the past few years).
We're still making arrangements, so I may not be on
till the Sunday after next. If ya'll need anything
from me, let me know via email. Not much I can do
from where I am, but I can try.
