"Grapher" used to be Curvus Pro before Apple purchased it. It does some things that GC doesn't do (see their demo of Lorentz attractors and their examples of second order partial differential equations), but (as I've said to anyone at apple who will listen) GC is far more powerful in its use. GC's user interface is more coherent and integrated among all the different representational systems and different mathematical systems.
