I was talking to a fairly high-up sales guy at Apple and he managed to
convince me that they actually take clearly-stated, sensible feedback
from customers quite seriously.
If we just rant, like
>Grapher is highly unlikely to receive any further
>development short of egregious bug fixes.
then that's what we're going to get.
Instead, please put together something sensible like
>I'm going to try to get off a letter or two to Apple, with some of the
>files I've done with GC. Curvus Pro is certainly an impressive product,
>but when it came to how slow and awkward it was at 3D graphing, there
>was no comparison. It was also bug-ridden, throughout, and I gave up on
>it for everything except 2D graphs.
Be even more specific: tell them in what ways GC is better than
curvus, what's wrong with the user interface, where some of the bugs
are, why you gave up on it for 3D graphing ...
If you'd like me to forward your comments along to my contact at
Apple, please feel free to send me a copy of your letters and I'll
pass them along.
At the very least, we'll see some improvements in Curvus -- which at
the moment seems more likely than convincing them to switch to GC, but
you never know.
