For some reason, I have multipath problems with KTVU and KRON as well. Part of
my
problem is that I'm trying to optimize the antenna for KRCB, but when I do that,
it
DEoptimizes it for Sutro, to the point that KTVU and KRON both fall out. Since I
don't have
any problem at all with KCSM or KBCW, the hope is that in February KTVU and KRON
will
start working better despite the antenna being pointed towards KRCB.

A couple months ago, KGO did a test transmission overnight on 7. I have a 5
element
VHF-HI Yagi pointed towards Fremont Peak and my reception for the ersatz KGO-DT
was
essentially the same as for KNTV-DT. Both had 100% S/N ratio and about 75%
signal
quality (probably multipath due to receiving them off the back of the Yagi).
So my conclusion is that anyone who's getting KNTV-DT now should have no trouble
also
getting KGO-DT in Feb. Exceptions would be folks who have localized issues
relating to
the differences between Sutro Tower and Mt. San Bruno, and there should be few
of those.
