Go to the nopes site below for a critique of the
"Right and Might" email I sent out about the Declaration of
Independence signers. I'm reading (and I highly recommend) The Lies
My Teacher Told Me, by James W. Loewen, so I should have smelled
the pretty rats! Two people, generously, sent me the 'snopes' story,
below, AKA the real truth which is much more interesting. Jeez, I should have known. Then,
there's Howard Zinn's analysis of the liberation from the British of
Canada and western Massachusetts without war which questions why a
Revolutionary war was necessary. Joanne
