Hi everyone!
I am Kathy and have two goats. The first is an old Pygmy named Indy and the
other is an Alpine named Anna, she just turned 2 in January. We are located in
Indiana. I never would have believed I could be so attatched to my girls. Indy
came to me first with a whether that had a head injury, unfortunately I wasn't
able to save Eddie after 6 weeks of close care. My vet breeds and raises
Alpines and offered me one of his bottle babies since I knew I didn't want Indy
to be alone. The next day he brought me my "little" girl, she was 4 months old.
He had some concern about her front legs not growing straight but she is perfect
now. The three of us take walks around the yard and woods everyday.
I just bought the Hoegger's training driving rig for Anna. She isn't very fond
of it yet but it has only been two days. I need to desensitize her legs a lot
more because she really jumps alot when I let the long lines touch them. I
don't have a cart yet because money is tight but I hope to find something
reasonable or have my dad and/or husband create something acceptable.
I am so happy to have come across this wonderful group and look forward to
reading the many previous posts. Thank you for all the great pictures that are
in the Photo area. I love them all! As a dog obedience and agility instructor
I truly loved the agility photos and am considering teaching Anna that as well
as the driving. Fun days await!
Kathy
