Hi All,
One challenge I faced when conducting FAs in the natural environment
is the setting itself. Often times challenging behaviors occur at
school, on the bus, in a day program, in the shopping center, etc,
where it may be instrusive to simply observe let alone conduct
experimental manipulations. Also if you are conducting manipulations
you either need a data collector or 'video' tape sessions, which can
present additional challenges regarding consent. I can see it being
more feasible in a home setting or an environment which is set up for
behavioral assessments...
