Question

Hello,

On October 4th the Navy published a Justification and Award for the
polywell, with the following three points:

* The award is for $10 million
* WB-8.0 report to be delivered 30 March 2010
* WB-8.1 report to be delivered 30 March 2012

Does this mean funding is 10 million till March 30, 2010? Till March 30, 2012?

Does this change the 7.8 million award from 9-11-09?

Does this mean funding is now 17.8 Million?

Thanks,
Matt

Ok, You say, with the proper design, the polywell would have no radiation. Lets say, for arguements' sake, you cannot get that design. Now I am losing 0.2%...

I was not talking about a polywell design - just generic fusion.  The future of the polywell approach having any advantage over a ITER-like approach is not...

I was told by a Navy bean counter at Talk-Polywell that the latest numbers are more order of magnitude sorts of things. i.e. +/- 20%. So no. As of now it is...
