I was told by a Navy bean counter at Talk-Polywell that the latest numbers are more order of magnitude sorts of things. i.e. +/- 20%. So no. As of now it is about $8 million with a 4 million kicker for WB-8.1 IIRC

Hello,
On October 4th the Navy published a Justification and Award for the
polywell, with the following three points:
* The award is for $10 million
* WB-8.0 report to be delivered 30 March 2010
* WB-8.1 report to be delivered 30 March 2012
Does this mean funding is 10 million till March 30, 2010? Till March 30, 2012?
Does this change the 7.8 million award from 9-11-09?

Microsoft has behemothed itself with incompatible revisions and an absence of enduser revision updates ... I think we can all agree when technology starts to break down or become ineffective at meeting needs we need to look for new technology (fission -> fusion; Microsoft -> OpenOffice).
I successfully opened the file with the latest release of OpenOffice Writer.

Or better yet, some common cross-platform format like PDF rather than
some closed proprietary Microsoft format. I for one don't have any
Microsoft products on my machine, and will keep it that way.

Polywell Fusion now has a facebook page. Messages of a more social character are in order. I'd like to keep the Yahoo group for announcements and technical discussions.
not sure if you have this solved already, but I know wavelab well and use it all
the time, if I may be of service

Hello,
I have created the video component of a rather short, cheap, easy
Polywell film. Consider it a 2 minute polywell "commercial". I am
working on the soundtrack using WaveLab. Does anyone out there know
WaveLab, who would be willing to assist?

Hello,
I have been trying for sometime to get a hold of Dr. Todd Riders
Thesis, The Printable Version.
Does anyone have a copy?
Otherwise, does anyone know someone who is currently a student,
graduate student or faculity member at MIT, who is willing to do a
favor?
If so, please send me their contact information.
Thanks

Wow, its look like I will be at break-even experimentation 10 years before
they start testing :)
Mr. J. Boily, CEO
www.astrokeys.com
Yes, but they WILL be experimenting a decade from now! So, put that on
your calendar; 2018 is the year the ITER will begin testing fusion.
So, when does the Polywell do that? Aren't they already doing that or
is that what is coming up in the next 18 months. Maybe if EMC2
postpones the testing for another decade they'll get more money?

This is very exciting news!
Although I'm only an observer of all of this I'm filled with both
dread and excitement for the future.
Will everything go as planned? I would be delirious if it did. I'm
tempering this thought with ... everything will go pear-shaped as
additional unexpected conditions present themselves and the whole
project begins to resemble the Tokamak. :(

I believe that it requires immense pressure as well as low temperature to get the density up.
It is interesting. It is hard to see how it could be practical.
