Job Description

Client is looking for a young, energetic and motivated Sys Admin to join their Infrastructure Management team in Hyderabad. Job profile includes managing and monitoring Windows Infrastructure including Active Directory, Exchange, File and Print, Backup and Security. Client has a heterogeneous network consisting of Desktops and Servers running Windows and Linux, and offers possibilities for good learning.

Technical Skills

-          Infrastructure Services

o        Windows Active Directory, DNS, WINS, Enterprise Certificate Authority

o        Group Policy

-          Email

o        MS Exchange 2007 (preferred, else Exchange 2003)

-          File and Print

o        Large File Shares, ACL’s

o        DFS, Storage Quotas

o        Network Printing and Print Management

-          Security

o        Patch Management (Windows and Linux)

o        Server Hardening, Desktop Security Scanning (Nessus)

o        Antivirus (preferred McAfee)

-          Backup

o        Backup and Restore Operations

o        HP Data Protector (preferred, else any other enterprise class backup tool)

-          Hardware

o        Server Blades, Rack Servers, Fiber SAN

-          Monitoring

o        Any good monitoring tool SNMP/non-SNMP

-          Desirable

o        Redhat/SUSE Linux

o        SAN, Storage and Fabric Switches

o        VMWare (else any other virtualization platform)

-          Basic networking, familiarity with L2 switching

§         Familiarity with routers and routing protocols

§         Familiarity with WAN Links

Soft Skills

-          Good spoken and written communication skills

Job Responsibilities

-          Management and Maintenance of Infrastructure Services

-          Availability, Monitoring, Call Logging, Reporting

-          Documentation

-          Coordination with IT Operations team in the Netherlands

-          Vendor interaction (Manufacturers, Suppliers, System Integrators, Service Providers) for incidents, deliveries, invoices etc.

-          Support Orientation and Attitude

-          Pro-active approach and Reporting

-          Productivity and Collaboration within the Infrastructure and Network team Hyderabad

Team Lead – Infrastructure and Networking
