I've been home on sick leave and need to find the following ASAP:
Network Security Consultant - with ISO 1799 background.
Location is Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Six years of relevent experience will secure an interview.
TECHNICALLY SPEAKING - you need to have a handle on intrusion detection/prevention systems, perimeter access control (such as
firewalls, VPNs).
MANAGERIALLY SPEAKING - you need to have a handle on policies, procedures, and standards with experience with Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPP), Health Information Protection Act (HIPA), Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Good organization skills and the ability to prioritize a must.
EDUCATION WISE - ISO 17799 certification would be a huge plus. Other certifications should come from ISC2 and/or SANS GIAC14. A computer Science degree is key and/or six (6) or more years of experience in IT security or IT management or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Salary will be in US Dollars.
Work environment is casual.
No travel is expected with this position.
You should be available within a 2 week-window.
