RE: [IThelp] Setting a reminder on an individual e-mail - OL2003

Dear Stefan,

I don't know why the reminder is not working, coz it's a very simple thing
to do !! I'm an Outlook 2003 User with Exchange Server 2003 (both of their
versions doesn't make difference !!) I feel that you might have missed to
put some of the options, so it is not coming. Plz check whether u've done
all the following steps or not -

1. Right Click on the Mail -> Follow Up -> Select one of the Flag Colour
(Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Orange & Purple).
2. Again Right Click -> Add Reminder ->
a) Select "Flag to" as "Follow up" (default is "Follow up")
b) Select "Due by" - A date from the drop-down list (default
will be "none")
c) Change the time in the adjacent box from "none" to a
valid time, from the drop down menu.
d) Click on OK.

Thatz all what u need to do for this. I use this option quite regularly and
its quite usefull for sure. In case any doubts, I may send u the snapshots
of the steps and the final output, what u get (the reminder) !!

Regards,
Binoy Kaladi.

Subject: [IThelp] Setting a reminder on an individual e-mail - OL2003

Hi all

I am having another issue with Outlook 2003 I hope someone may have a
solution for.

I have got a book out of the library so I can learn a little more about
outlook - in the book it says that I can flag an individual email with a
flag of chosen colour and also set a reminder (with my own chosen text if
required) and it will then flash up a reminder window in the same way a
reminder does in the calender.

i tried this today and the reminder did not work :-(.

Does anyone have any idea what is wrong here ?

Many thanks

Stef

One of the reasons is due to mailbox / flooding ?, then why not opt for
Digest mode, where you would receive all e-mails accumulated and sent to you
in just ONE email a day.

TO activate Digest mode.....
