Hello everyone!

Does any one knows, where I can some information sources about comparing in
terms of an IT project( "tasks & deliverables" or main activities) depending on
the formal developing IT method (SSADM, UML or what ever might be considered)??

Dont you think RUP needs a high learning curve and its a complex as
well a long methodology. RUP is good enough for a complex system,
client-server or distributed application but for information systems,
its a too complex process.
I am currently doing a project in which I have tried to represent an
SSADM based system using UML diagrams and trying to make a comparison
between two approaches. Also one of the main objective is to relate
OO UML diagrams with SDLC and trying to propose a methodology.

I am tryin to propose that if SDLC is followed for OO approach, only
that instead of functional decomposition, object orientation is used
for analysis and design. requirement catalogue,Class/object model can
be interated according to the feedback on prototype, add codes, test
and repeat design phase and test phase till software is fully ready
for implementation.

Also some of SSADM diagrams can be used along with OO methodology eg.
I/O diagram. The project is basically Transitional implication of UML
over SSADM, so I am trying to show the pros and cons of transition or
can both approach be matched together somehow.
