Hi Folks
It is important to listen to these two songs:

Feel the power in them. The raging current cannot be controlled completely by mere mortals, yet these are the demands that we put on ourselves and all in the name of a presumed affection.
The "You" that is being sung about is not the man, or women, isolated onto themselves. To hear these songs correctly, in my view, is to recognize that the "You" that is being referred to is the Holy Spirit; e.g., my meaning is the spirit that escapes mere words, and breaks free of our ego-self, the You that is shared among the many. Otherwise, the demand being placed on the ego-self is too great, and yet we make these needy calls that implies a perfection that cannot be reached.
Perfection is closer once we release the tension, letting it return to source. Nevertheless, the call will return to make a better self image, as the tension reappears. But at least in this case the call for perfection is doable, and the true meaning of these songs can be revealed in their divine splendor. The gushing current will not rest until we get in right!
I can't help but note that LeAnn Rimes's link to the song pointed to above, also connects to another song:

And this new song is important because it signifies the passing of the need of the said "You." The call for needy perfection is found passing over into the provisional again, and with it the spirit is found returning to the beyond (the source). It leaves with even a better feel, and with an art that is closer to a true ideal. The spirit will return to call for a deeper love in the future, no doubt, but it is good to see that LeAnne Rimes was not so intoxicated to let go of the old "You" she needed so much of.
