One of the problems you may be having is that your virus scanner, adware removal
program, whatever, removes the executable file but leaves registry entries and
other artifacts of Estalive. Then another virus scanner or adware removal
applications scans your computer and finds these remnants of Estalive and
reports that you are infected when you're really not.

What third party installs Estalive Adware? If you prefer, what did I do to get
my computer infected?

>>I'm looking for advice about combatting a particularly stubborn virus that is
infecting my laptop (Dell Inspiron, running Windows XP). AVG doesn't seem to
block it, but my AOL anti-virus application (!) catches it multiple times a day.
In Googling "estalive," I can't find out anything useful about what it does or
how to block it. However, I assume that it's the evil thing that makes my cursor
jump around while I'm typing. It also seems to spontaneously select blocks of
text that I'm typing and then backspace. What a bummer Any guidance?>>
