Re the first link below, the public web site provided by FTDNA, my results are listed there, identified only by my kit no. I would like to add the details of my earliest known mtDNA ancestor, along the lines of ... "Nancy Howat, b. c.1770, Belfast, NI".
Can I add that myself, or do you have to do it for me?
The next entry, kit no. 124156, matches me 6/6 on HVR1 and 9/10 on HVR2, and is from the same part of Northern Ireland.
I have also found a close match in the County Down on the Ulster Heritage DNA Project. There is a definite cluster of J1c1 in that area, all apparently Ulster Presbyterians with Scottish surnames.

Harry:
In addition to your personal page, there are actually two addresses of which you should be aware.
The first address is the public web site provided by Family Tree DNA. This is at http://www.familytr eedna.com/ public/J- mtDNA/. The post the HVR1 and HVR2 values of all members within the project and also show the most distant maternal ancestor as provided by the member. Members are grouped by me and I group them by what I believe to be the proper haplogroup. In many cases this is a more detailed assignment that that provided by Family Tree DNA. For example, many of the J* assignments can be further classified through the use of HVR2 data. Also I believe some of the assignments are in error since they are using an old classification scheme. In particular, most J1a assignments should actually be J2a and I have grouped the members accordingly.
The second address is the associated mailing list on Yahoo. You can find this at http://tech. groups.yahoo. com/group/ J-mtDNA/. In addition to the message archives, there are a number of other pages available through that site but are restricted to members and thus require a Yahoo ID and password.
In each case there are navigation features to find additional data. I have no control over the navication process, but do have significant control over the content.
If this does not answer you question, please ask again and be specific.

Unfortunately I didn't make a note of how I got there, and I can't get back to that site. When I click on the link Database all I get is a page with 5 haplotypes.
