Please read below - this should be interesting:
The NYC Metro BIM Group (Building Information Modeling) has planned an event
to help illustrate BIM through practical experiences. It will revolve around
aging infrastructure and environmental vulnerability.
The title, “NYC BIM 2030” reflects the group's vision for a technological
advancement application and a green revolution that, if adopted, will
efficiently support Mayor Bloomberg’s PlaNYC plan objectives.
The June 2nd event is the first in a series meant to raise the awareness of BIM
technology and the future of NYC. They plan to have speakers from the US
General Service Administration (GSA) and the US Army Corps of Engineers share
their experiences with an audience of, hopefully, city agencies. The event is
free and is at NYU Poly from 8-11 am, June 2nd.
The NYC Metro BIM Group is part of the building Smart alliance (a professional
not-for-profit org.) See: www.nycmetrobim.com for more infomation.
