Java Official Group was founded in August 19, 1998. The originally name of group was called Java club URL is: http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/java (it's still working) Unfortunately, Yahoo! canceled the Yahoo! club in 2001 and force the java club merge with Yahoo! Group. and become groups.yahoo.com/group/java4.In January, 2002, "java4" group was renamed to "Java_Official". Since then, the members are continuing

Hi, I am new to Java as well. I'll give you the suggestions I was given. First download the Eclipse IDE. It's the best Java editor from what I hear.
