Jung's great omission?   Message List

Weird it is that 'the father of modern psychiatry, Emil Kraepelin, is
not remembered by name, also that the same applies to his Swiss
supercessor, Eugen Bleuler, who considerably revised the latter's work
by renaming and redescribing Kraepelin's 'dementia praecox' with the
less stigmatising term 'schizophrenia' - oh, what little-known
influence, beyond the dreams of politicians and other ephemera.
Odder still perhaps, that well-known revolutionary moderniser Jung
failed to further destigmatise the label modified by his one-time
employer Bleuler, focusing instead on Great Man Mind Think, which, in
practical, day-to-day terms, amounts to what?
