Digital library highlights EU copyright issues
Over 4.6 million digitised books, photographs, films, maps and newspapers are currently available on Europeana, the EU's multilingual digital library, but the European Commission believes that a heavily fragmented copyright framework is hindering its growth.
The Commission aims to bring the number of digitised objects in the library to 10 million by 2010.
