Barb-
Check out HPs website –depending on the model – all you need is
a receipt dated after 6/26/09..
http://www.hp.com/united-states/consumer/windows7-upgrade/faq.html?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
I purchased my wife a HP notebook on 6/24/09… Getting ready to
go back to Office Depot and have them re-ring the receipt or do a return for
store credit and purchase another.

Pre an e-mail from Susan, here’s Dell’s
‘make good offer’ on Win7:
http://en.community.dell.com/blogs/direct2dell/archive/2009/06/25/dell-and-the-windows-7-upgrade-program.aspx
In a nutshell, if you buy a new PC today with Vista, you’ll get a free upgrade
to Windows 7.
I’m sure the other vendors have similar offers out already. Guess they’re
trying to remove the ‘don’t but a new computer yet because Windows 7 is coming’
roadblock in people’s minds.
