Thank you for your post listing some of the symbols used to designate
knife steel.
This is the first post I have seen from you & I released it today,
the day I got it.
I have not received any other post from you. This may be due to
problems with eGroups but it is more likely to be due to my use of
AOL's phony CompuServe: CS 2000.
I was locked out of eGroups for months after I signed up for CS 2000
because AOL insists on changing the From: field of all my messages to
knives4@... instead of the more reliable larry@...
that I used for years with other ISPs.
AOL does not use the industry standard POP3 mail system. They use
MAPI which enables them to tamper with my mail: inserting their
advertising and screening out material they find objectionable.
Admittedly, I do screen your posts to eGroups:Knives. This is solely
to eliminate SPAM. Your messages will be posted or rejected without
change. So far, I have not had to reject anything but unmoderated
groups do have problems. One, SeaRiver, had to be discontinued after
he linked his eGroup to the PlanetAll mailing list, resulting in an
ever-expanding tree of complaint mail from people who objected to the
SPAM.
