Non-compliance - without a Waiver issued by the FCC (see http://transition.fcc.gov/Daily_Releases/Daily_Business/2011/db0713/DA-11-1189A1.pdf) - will mean license cancellation, loss of legal use of your radio system, and potential monetary penalties to violators.

The mandate applies to all conventional and trunked Part 90 voice and data radio networks currently operating on legacy wideband (25 KHz) analog or digital RF channels in the 150-174 MHz (VHF) and 421-470 MHz (UHF) bands of the wireless spectrum.
