All Meade parts in the kit are USED products, unless otherwise stated. All are well tested and generally in "like new" condition. Meade doesn't sell parts; Only finished goods.

FAQ's about the Autostar Upgrade Kit

Q. How much does it cost and what's included?
A. The various kits range in price from $450.00 to $700.00 and come with an Autostar-495/497 handset standard. I can provide the kit with a NEW Audiostar,instead of an Autostar, ready to go, for an additional $100.00, or I can provide a kit without a handset for $80.00 less.
CONUS shipping is included. All prices are in US Dollars.
Additional shipping costs apply to International shipments.

Q. My telescope has problems. What if the kit doesn't work?
A. I provide a FREE motor evaluation/tune-up with the purchase of a kit and GUARANTEE the system will work on arrival. Minor repairs included.

Q. Do you accept credit cards?
A. I charge a flat fee of $15.00 for PayPal or 4% for a credit card over the phone.

Q. Can I use my existing Meade Power source?
A. The kit requires 10vdc to 16vdc of regulated power. The original Meade PSU's do not meet that requirement.
* I can provide an appropriate power supply for an additional $25.00

Q. What about my CCD input, focuser and reticle; Can I still control those?
A. The "Deluxe" kit includes these features, built into the panel. The "Deluxe Ready" kit has the connections but requires another kit for $40.00, to make them active.

Q. How long does it take to get one?
A. Most kits ship within 48 hours of receipt of funds.
