FAQ's about the Autostar Upgrade Kit

Q. How much does it cost and what's included?
A. The current price of a "Deluxe" kit is $490.00, and a "Deluxe Ready" kit is $450.00. Included in that price is an Autostar 495/497 handset/computer, handset cable, motor control circuit board and a new power input panel. Additional shipping costs apply to International shipments.

Q. Do you accept credit cards?
A. I have a PayPal account and you can pay with a CC through PayPal for an additional $10.00.

Q. Can I use my existing Meade Power source?
A. 12 volt power units and battery sources are OK but 18 VDC, Meade PSU's may cause damage to your kit and are not recommended.
* I can provide a +12 VDC @ 5 amps power supply for an additional $25.00

Q. What about my CCD input, focuser and reticle; Can I still control those?
A. The "Deluxe" kit includes these features, built into the panel. The "Deluxe Ready" kit has the connections but requires another kit for $40.00, to make them active.

Q. How long does it take to get one?
A. Most kits ship within 48 hours of receipt of funds.

Q. Does the new "Audiostar" controller work with the kit?
A. YES; But you will need to flash it with the latest StarPatch firmware. I can provide the kit with a NEW Audiostar,instead of an Autostar, ready to go, for an additional $80.00 USD.
