LASS is an amateur astronomy group that welcomes anyone within driving distance of Lipan to join our group.. Our club is very informal and the primary purpose is to make space available to those who do not have access to a dark site nearby. We welcome anyone that is interested in astronomy no matter what your experience level might be. Our membership is made up of those who are very new to astronomy as well as some very seasoned and knowledgeable observers.

We encourage you to join this discussion group even if you do not desire to become a member of LASS. All topics are monitored and those that do not pertain to astronomy will be deleted.

For those going to New Mexico for eclipse, I recommend stopping in T Hi, My wife and I stayed in Tucumcari 6 years ago when we were traveling to Texas.
