Images may also be emailed to me <donvon2@...> before the meeting date (please email before 12 noon on the day of the meeting). If you want a print scanned, call me at 964-5887 before the meeting date to have it scanned. Prints are OK at the meeting too.
Jack Wendleton, one of the founders of our camera club, will be showing two slide programs. This should be a fun evening.
November 11th meeting will be scavenger hunt time again. Bring to the November meeting an image of four of the eight subjects, your choice. The categories are: 'Boats', 'Flowers', 'Birds', 'Reptiles', 'Clouds, Sky or Rainbow', Glass, 'Back to School', and 'Wheels'. All images should be printed (no digital images), 8.5 by 11 inches maximum size.
December 9th meeting, please bring a photo(s) that you have used to create a Christmas card, gift, Christmas album etc. This will be a chance to show how we use photography for useful products.
Jack Hostetter has volunteered to hold a seperate meeting (workshop) on matting and framing of prints. If you are interested in attending, please send me ( donvon2@... ) an email message so we can gauge the interest and make arrangements.
The Lake Arts Council, which our Camera Club is affiliated with, is holding a celebration on Nov. 22 at the Osage National Golf Club. This is a dinner, entertainment and dancing to celebrate their 25 years of existance. Tickets are $40 and available at 964-6366. We have been invited to display prints. Any size print is acceptable but for ease of transporting them a 16x20 inch frame is a good practable maximum size. Also Sandy Sinclair asks "Please bring the exhibit committee one of your best photos. Those members that showed their images at Photo Quest on foam board can bring them as is. Others may bring 8 x 10 (unframed) or framed prints if larger than 8x 10."
