The meeting was called to order by President Joe Nieters
Approval of Minutes. While the minutes were approved, it was noted that in January each member was asked to submit 2 subjects for the May Scavenger Photo challenge. This item should be noted and 2 items for the May Scavenger Photo Challenge should be submitted at the March Meeting on 3-10-09
Committee Reports:
Lake Arts Council updates were given by Sandy Sinclair

Student Photoquest entries are due by April 6th. 2009. Sandy would appreciate help on April 7-8th for setups etc at Stonecrest Mall.

Reception for the student photoquest will be April 26th, 2009

Adult Photoquest will be August 1st at Camdenton Library. Deadline is mid July. Exact date to be announced when date is obtained.

Sweetheart Supper will be held at Harper Chapel on February 14, 2009. Cost is $20.00. They need a photographer for the event

Art Expressions fund raiser and silent auction will be held at the Four Seasons Country Club February 20, 2009

The CVB Lifestyle magazine has just been released with an article about Lake Arts Photography Club and includes photos from members of our Lake Arts Photo Club Anyone interested in entering the National Wildlife Photo Contest for 2009 can go to nationalwildlifefederation@...

Program Committee: A nearly complete program schedule matrix for 2009 was presented with only a few items left to be determined.
Public Relations Report: Still Need Chairman - Kerri Kelling volunteered to be on the committee
Exhibition Committee: Still Need Chair - Sandy Sinclair volunteered to be on this committee

New Business:
The new Lake Arts Council location (Art Xpressions) is being investigated as to the feasibility of a permanent meeting place for the Photo Club.
Also investigating getting a post office box for the club to receive information in a timelier manner.
Nation PSA Convention in Yellowstone National Park September 20-26 is rapidly filling
Program: White Balance presented by Bill Sinclair
Photo Challenge: Something Black or Something White
March: Challenge/Assignment: Take three different white balance images to portray these differences by using Techniques observed from February meeting.
March Program: PSA Educational Library (usually slide Projection) being presented by Jaree Donnelly
After a lively and enjoyable, not to mention educational discussion of the submitted black or white photos, the group adjourned encouraged to improve both our groups attendance and its technical expertise.
