Have been checking around since your first post to see if this same symptom has
come up elsewhere. We have had a couple of units here and 2 or 3 in the New York
service center with a very similar problem. The fix was to replace resistors in
a voltage divider network in the audio outputs.
The mystery is: What is causing the resistor values to change?
One theory is that an external phantom power source with higher than normal
current capacity may have been connected to the receiver outputs for a period of
time. This is just a guess. The circuit is designed to withstand normal phantom
power common in the industry, so another theory is defective parts. With a
handful of units out of 750 or so in the field, it does not appear to be a
design problem.
So, if you would be so kind as to provide us with more information, we might get
to the bottom of this. What specific devices (mixers, recorders, cameras, etc.)
have been connected to your receivers? If you can provide some model numbers, we
will do a bit of research and check out the phantom powering on them to
investigate this possibility.
As far as fixing your receivers, they are most likely under warranty, so it is
just a matter of the turnaround time to get them fixed. Please contact the
service dept. to make arrangements. We also have some service centers in other
locations and techs in other countries who could replace the resistors. Contact
info in on the web site here:

when set on mic level they are different. I also have a work who has the same
issue. Any Body have any thoughts?
