so work this way ,.give the tx + 8 db reference tone and calibrate the input so the second led would lit a bit calibrate your limits for something like +10 DB...
If you're wired as the instructions show and you only have a 160 Ohm resister in series with pin 5, you could try going up to a 1K Ohm or higher to gain more...
