Administrative: Character Encoding for LexiLine Postings at Yahoo   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1716 of 1831 |
Dear Readers,

If you read some of our language-related posts, you may see words that
simply look like "garbled" signs.

The reason for this is the character encoding setting used by your
browser.

Yahoo uses Unicode (UTF-8), whereas many browsers are set to Western
(ISO-8859-1).

You can change your coding back and forth easily using your browser menu
bar.
In Firefox, go to the menu item "View", and then "Character Encoding"
and select Unicode.
In Internet Explorer go to the menu item "View" and then "Encoding" and
select Unicode.

Change back to Western encoding as needed.
