LinkedinBloggers : Message: How to close your LinkedIn account

Hi folks,

Closing your LinkedIn account it simple, (in fact, so simple, I almost closed my own account :). Here's what you do:

Go to the "Contact Customer Service" page at:

http://www.linkedin.com/feedback?displayContactCustomerServiceFeedback

Select: "I would like to close my account and be removed from LinkedIn entirely"

Click the "Contact Customer Service" button.

Your account will be removed, no questions asked, no reason needed.

Perhaps we should change the verbage so it doesn't sound like you have to interact with a human? Would it be better if we renamed the button "Submit"? Please send your thoughts. We certainly don't want this to be an issue that would drive people to close their accounts. Since we don't get many requests to close accounts, or complaints about it being difficult, it's my preference to have the team at LinkedIn focused on building more features for our users.
