Greetings to all Linkedin Malaysia executive members and our many
thousands of daily readers... Thank you for your support!

The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) gained another prestigious
award when it received the United Nations World Tourism Organisation
Green Globe Benchmarked Bronze Status recently.

To win the award, KLCC was measured in regards to its sustainable
policy, energy consumption, portable (treated) water consumption,
wastes sent to landfill, community development, paper products,
cleaning products and pesticide products.

KLCC has also achieved best practice awards in three important
areas , energy consumption, water consumption and wastes sent to
landfills.

General Manager Peter Brokenshire said in a press statement that the
KLCC would continue to look into more prudent measures involving all
levels of staff to ensure that they were able to exceed previous
performance levels per Bernama.

He credited KLCC's ongoing 3R (Reduce, Re-use and Recycle) campaign
which encouraged staff and visitors to segregate their rubbish into
colourful bins strategically located around the centre," stated
Brokenshire.

KLCC has already received many other prestigious awards such as
TravelWeekly (Asia) Industry Awards' "Best Exhibition and Convention
Centre in Asia" in 2007 and the BrandLaureate Awards 2007-2008 for
excellence in product branding.
