After spending a bit more time on Facebook over the past couple of months, I've discovered for myself a few reasons why more than 300 Million people may have been smart to join it:

1. I've found a bewildering variety of groups and fan pages ranging from technology groups on C++, C#, Java, PHP, Open Source to groups and fan pages on science ranging from engineering to nanotechnology

2. I've found lots and lots and LOTS of ways to energize conversations with a wide range of friends from all over the world and

3. I've reconnected with professional and personal friends whom I hadn't communicated with in 30, even 40 years...
