For those who did not attend, Dr Tim Sparks from the Phenology
Network http://www.phenology.org.uk/ gave a very good presentation
at the LNHS Members Day earlier this month. He showed how spring is
happening a month earlier than a few years ago. Some of the
information displays on their website are very clever, it well worth
a visit.

Personally, a saw bats actively hunting low at dusk in my local park
on February 3rd. I had last seen them in the same park on November
30th last year, hunting high over the tree tops.
