RE: [London-nhs-invertebrates] LNHS Winter Field Meetings

Mick

I would be very interested in going to Isleworth Ait sometime in
September, a pretty good time to look at the island for plant galls, I
feel. I don't want to hire a boat just for myself, and could not swim
over! What do you think?

Regards. Ken Hill

Subject: [London-nhs-invertebrates] LNHS Winter Field Meetings

Ladies and Gents, I have 'volunteered' to fix some E & E field
meetings for the LNHS programme for next winter, October through to
end February 05. I'd like your suggestions - not just entomology
exclusive.

One of the possible sites I am planning to use is Isleworth Ait
www.aisleworthait.co.uk
We are discussing a potential multidisciplinary meeting in November,
but other months could be possible. The Ait is largely undisturbed
by humans, and supports some scarce invertebrates. Little survey
work has been undertaken in the past. Please let me know, via the e-
group, whether this would be of interest to you, and your thoughts
how we might organise this best to meet your needs. Access is by
special 8 person ferry boat only, and this has to be arranged in
advance.

If a summer (Mar-Sept) visit would be beneficial in addition, please
let me know.

Basically, any constructive comments will be gratefully received,
and any ideas for additional field meetings which I can follow up.
Particular interest will be paid to meetings with a connection to
the river.

I look forward to hearing from you on the message board. If you'd
rather send a private e-mail, please use mickmassie@...

Regards, Mick.
