The Adonis Ladybird seems to turn up fairly randomly on rough ground in London
(perhaps as a consequence of the 'heat island' effect) and these beetles are
probably under-recorded. According to Roger Hawkins the population may be
reinforced by migration. Very active little beasts too!
Look out for Orange Ladybirds being attracted to windows at night.

There was an Adonis Ladybird at Kew today on the Lavender outside the Palm
House. It seems an unusual place for it to be.
