I clocked one this afternoon at Stepping Stones Farm down here in Stepney, in
amongst the mugwort, nettles, Hirschfeldia, thistles,
etc. on a lump of waste ground. The little rascal wasn't hanging around though,
he was off in a trice before Jen got a chance to see
it. Very active little beast, just as David said. Perhaps that's another small
reason for them being under-recorded if they tend not
to hang around obligingly for casual observers like me to ID them, unlike most
other ladybirds. So thanks to Sarah for kicking off
this thread, and all other contributors, otherwise I'm not sure I'd have had
'Adonis Ladybird' at front of mind when moseying
through the habitat.

|I didn't have my camera yesterday (my day off) so I went back to see the Adonis
Ladybird at Dukes Meadow again. There were a few,
all on Wild Carrot, Daucus carota.

| Like a small, flattened 7-spot at first glance. It may be spreading, so look
out for it and please report any sightings.
