Hi Hal,

Yes, it is possible - although you will need to run windows with
bootcamp or parralels/Vmware fusion on your mac.

I am using Okino's Polytrans to convert CAD models to the .obj
format and load them into modo. Polytrans delivers great results
but needs windows to run.

Another solution maybe is right hemispheres Deep Exploration.
Needs windows to run too. But I can't comment on the quality
their converter delivers.

Hope that helps, though it's not a solution that runs on mac OS X.
