Greetings All, Im pretty new to Modo, but am enjoying it so far. One of the key things thats illuding me is the backdrop images and how to keep them in the...
Hello, I find the backdrop implementation lacking too. I like how Amapi handles it: Simply attach a reference picture to the XY, XZ or YZ axis in all views....
Hi all I'm a newbie's newbie - so unfamiliar with 3d that sometimes it's hard to even ask the right question. I'm trying out the modo demo and the program...
Essentially, they represent two-dimensional coordinates that describe the position of any point on surfaces in terms of direction. Great for mapping images...
I guess I wasn't clear... What does UV stand for? Is it Ultra Violet? Utility Viewport? Uber Vertex? .... Uncle Victor?.... Thanks again. [Non-text portions...
UV doesn't "stand for" anything in that sense. U and V are variables for corrdinates in texture space just as XYZ are the variables for coordinates in 3D...
... nothing, really. It's just to distinguish texture coordinates (u,v) from say, 3D coordinates (x,y,z). Now, don't ask what x,y,z stand for... ... -- Al...
Thanks, that actually helps a lot. Out of curiosity, Is that an industry standard? - Do all or most 3d programs refer to UV coordinates when dealing with...
The W in max refers to depth in texture space. Similar to the Z in 3d space. ... V are variables ... variables for ... So what is the W that Max likes to add...
... quoting: "The U, V, and W coordinates parallel the relative directions of X, Y, and Z coordinates. If you look at a 2D map image, U is the equivalent of X,...

Dear fellow modo user, I guess there is not exactly a polygon-reduction tool to simplify any selection process along with the edge removal command or the sort....
Dear all, Please check with the link below for reference to my question (794kb). http://www.lonersam.net/Newsgroup/modo/moving_pivot.avi I guess this might...
