Hello, I´m new here. I have seen the video samples at luxology.com
and my veins wants some program demo of modo!  To the development team:
congratulations. The software looks very very promising. I´m another of
those people that migrate from lw to another software (Maya) because
some software policy of LightWave development. So this stuff of luxology
is... a tentation =)

Brad,

BAVC is still very interested in supporting MODO.  I know you're a
busy man - but have you had a chance to speak with our Education
Director Wendy Levy yet?  I've hyped her up on the program and she's
enthused to add Modo into our curriculum.

Please let me know.  I'll follow up with Wendy.  And as Fes said -
thank you VERY much for taking the time to demo MODO to us at the
group last month.  Everyone was pretty blown away.

You already know this, but it just makes me feel good to say this
anyway - the larger body of those participating in the 3D industry
has no idea the transofrmation its about to undergo.  Thank you for
your perseverence, persistance, and your vision to see things
through, despite the hurdles you've had to face.  Great job.

Your demo at the apple demo left me drop jawed. you showed us at the
user group a render of millions of polys but more than a billion poly
renders? thats just amazing.

As for the usergroup, our meeting is falling in the same week as
Siggraph. We are trying to figure out if its feasible to hold it the
week before or the week after SIG. will that work with you, Brad?

Ever since the Siggraph last year, i have been silently following what
you guys have been upto...

gotta to tell you even with the sporadic updates i find myself to
totally in awe and my keyboard drenched in drool when you give us a
something to nibble on...

so very much looking forward to the release of modo, whenever it may come

and Brad, hehe i thought you were gonna show up for the User Group in
SF... we still have a place saved for ya whenever you wanna come and
show off stuff after the madness of Siggraph dies down after next

Since you people are obviously Luxology supporters, I'll give the group
here a little inside scoop. We are not going to have our own booth
(this is a philosophical choice of mine, but don't get me started!) but
we will be in the Apple booth in a pod all day every day as well as in
the PNY (NVIDIA distributor next to NVIDIA) for a couple hours a day
and we will be doing presentations in the ATI theater. We'll be posting
a schedule on the site.

Also, we are going to have a private event on Tuesday night. Invitation
only. We will be showcasing modo and giving a tiny taste of things to
come. If you are interested in joining us at the VIP event, sent me an
email directly and I will get you on the guest list (space permitting).

Nexus?

modo is coming along really, really well. It certainly has been hugely
beneficial to have a "clean start" so that we can fully take advantage
of the latest emerging technologies, yada yada yada.

Glad to see some people up here on the list. One day we'll laugh about
the time when there were less than a few thousand people!

Any word on a release date for Modo?  Any cool news/rumors
regarding Nexus?  I've been with Newtek/Lightwave since Version 4.0
was unbundled.  The formation of Luxology was exciting because it
seemed that the creative forces behind my favorite software were
striking out on their own to focus on making the best software they
could, w/o internal politics, etc. interfering.  I hope we will hear
some good news soon.  Hopefully Modo/Nexus will be the true spiritual
succesor to Lightwave's legacy of quality and ease of use, with more
modern tech and other advances that come from starting with a clean
sheet of paper.  So what about it?  Anyone else feel this way?
