Well, you wouldn't want a thing like that in the house any more than an indoor lavatory, would you; but, if you're reading this, you must have access to one - albeit at the bottom of the garden.

A computer is a cross between an adding machine and a typewriter with an IQ of 2. It's not very bright but it's extremely quick and good for a bit more than doing the divvy and writing home to mum.

This site is for all members of Mensa who have basic computer questions.

Primarily it's for Home PC users who want to know a bit more about their puter package.

No, it's not a Which Magazine.

Q: Aren't there lots and lots of computer related sites already?

A: Yes. Yes. There are.

Q: So, why's this one different.

A: It can't claim to be better but it aims at giving simple answers to simple questions asked by people who aren't so simple but may be wary of jargon. You won't get a 'fancy you not knowing that one' reply; though the list is not a substitute for reading the Help files and manuals that come with your machine.

Seek and ye shall find.

Go elsewhere if you prefer to be bamboozled by mystery.
