Hello, Its me Rob again.
Like I said in my previous email I was searching for a telescope.
I am really not sure what to buy. I really do not want to spend more
than $300 for a scope. I know that is really not much but thats the
budget. I had a Tasco scope when I was little, in fact I still have
it and it is missing pieces so I need a new scope. It has been like
15 years since I used a telescope. Nowadays there are digital scopes
with GOTO and tracking functions and I am not at all familiar with
these scopes. I do want to try one though. I have no clue how to read
a star chart so the manual point-and-look method is useless if I want
to see Galaxies or Nebulas. I know where to find the brighter planets
but that is about it. I have a few scopes in mind and I was wondering
if anyone has used them and would they tell me if they are worth it
or not. Here they are:
Meade DS2130AT--Walmart sells them--
Meade ETX70AT
Celestron Nexstar 4
Celestron Nexstar 130GT
Bushnell Northstar 90mm Mak-Cass
I am really nervous about the quailty of these scopes and how well
they will perform.
I am interested in viewing the moon, planets, Galaxies, and Nebulas
all with one scope.
Please if anyone can help I would be so appreciated.

Thanks

Rob

... I too have been in the same position when I first got interested in astronomy. There are many choices of telescopes for your price range. I wasn't sure if...
