Hello, friends.
I hope that you are making plans to attend this Friday evening,
November 3, for the last in our 2006 series of astronomy
resentations co-sponsored by Museum Astronomical Resource Society
and the Science Library at MOSI.
Our presentation, "The Planet Venus," will review the history of
exploration surrounding this mysterious planet, and will also review
the climate and the surface features of the second planet from the
sun.
Frances Ferguson has agreed to give the presentation for me since I
will, unfortunately, be out of state attending to a family
commitment. Copies of the presentation material will also be
available at the M.A.R.S. club meeting the following week.
Remember, the presentation will be held this Friday, November 3,
from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Saunders Planetarium at MOSI in
Tampa. As with all M.A.R.S. public events, this presentation is free
and open to the public. My thanks to Frances for her willingness to
serve. Please come out and give her your support!
Clear Skies,
Jimmy Thomas
