Description

Welcome to the listserve for the Mound City Archaeological Society. MCAS is the St. Louis chapter of the Missouri Archaeological Society.

MCAS sponsors free lectures at 7:00pm on the first Tuesday of every month at the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park. The lectures are preceded by a short business meeting at 6:30pm. Both activities are free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome.

Subscribers to this moderated group receive information about official society- and chapter-related archaeology news, events and lectures. The primary emphasis is on those activies which are near the greater St. Louis metropolitan area, however, there is also coverage of other archaeological news and events around the rest of the state of Missouri, when appropriate.

Subscribing to this group is FREE and does not require membership in either MAS or MCAS. Everyone is welcome to join. To join, send a blank e-mail to MAS-MCAS-subscribe@yahoogroups.com or click on the big, purple icon. ===>

For more archaeological news and activities, visit the St. Louis Archaeology Clearinghouse.
