If you remember that MCAS meeting a few months back when the official
lecturer couldn't make it, then you'll also recall our good fortune
when Ms. Etta Daniels of the Friends of Greenwood Cemetery Association
stepped up and gave an impromptu and wonderfully informative
description of her organization's efforts. All the more reason that
it's so nice to see those folks getting some much-deserved publicity,
such as the article that appeared in the West Post section of this past
Monday's St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
If you missed the printed version, the full article can be found on the
newspaper's web site at:
<http://home.post-dispatch.com/channel/pdweb.nsf/4daa3d989dbce5e885256a0f005ee23\
5/86256a0e0068fe5086256aed003f83c4?OpenDocument>
If you have trouble getting to that address, I've also uploaded a
text-only version of the article to the MAS-MCAS site at
<http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MAS-MCAS/files/articles/BlackCemeteries_1022.txt>
Note that some e-mails systems and/or web browsers may try to "wrap"
the above addresses, so you may have to do a little cutting and
pasting, but the article makes it worth the trouble.
Ttfn,
Greg
