MAS-MCAS lecture: Dr. Carol Diaz-Granados
Date: Wednesday, June 4, 2003
Time: 7:00PM - 9:00PM CDT (GMT-05:00)
As President of the Mound City Archaeological Society -- the St.
Louis Chapter of the Missouri Archaeological Society -- I'd like
to invite everyone to our next monthly meeting, which will be
held this Wednesday, June 4, at 7:00 pm at the St. Louis County
Library Headquarters, 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd. (across from Plaza
Frontenac).
This month's featured speaker will be Dr. Carol Diaz-Granados,
Research Associate and Instructor in the Department of
Anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis. In 1999, she
co-authored a comprehensive guide to the rock art of Missouri,
"The Petroglyphs and Pictographs of Missouri". In 2001, she was
elected to the American Rock Art Research Association's Board of
Directors.
The Chapter business meeting will follow the lecture and will
end positively no later that 8:55 pm. Both activities are free
and open to the public. I hope you’ll stick around after the
lecture, because we’ve got lots of exciting things to talk
about. Things like site visits, excavations, research projects,
symposiums, lectures, and exhibits, just to name a few.
